Upgrade Notice: vCenter 8.0

As part of our commitment to delivering high-quality service to the University of Toronto community, we are pleased to announce that the ITS Private Cloud core component, VMware vCenter Server, will be upgraded to version 8.0 on Friday, February 21, 2025, from 04:30 PM to 10:00 PM. For more details about the upgrade, please refer to our announcement page, which includes a Frequently Asked Questions section.

Learn what Operating Systems will be added and which are going to be deprecated

With the upcoming vCenter upgrade to vSphere 8.0, VMware has announced the deprecation and termination of support for certain legacy operating systems. Additionally, new operating systems will be added.

Manage your protected hosts with the UTORrecover Portal

The Hardware Infrastructure Group in EIS released the UTORrecover Portal in November 2024. The portal allows you to manage your protected hosts, including reviewing the status, testing connectivity, probing configuration, and decommissioning hosts.
